Fit & Sizing

What size should I order?

Measure around the fullest part of your bust with a soft tape, keep it level, and order by that number. There are no cup sizes to decode — the built-in shelf bra stretches to cover a 30 to 56 inch bust across the XS to 6XL range.

Size Fits bust Size Fits bust
XS up to 34" 2XL 42.5–44.5"
S 34–36" 3XL 44.5–46.5"
M 36–38" 4XL 46.5–49.5"
L 38–40.5" 5XL 49.5–52.5"
XL 40.5–42.5" 6XL 52.5–56"

Everything is completely true to size. We reinvested in quality and re-cut the whole range to standard measurements, so order the size you normally wear.

Rather not pull out a tape measure? The size & fit guide has a picker that turns your current bra size — band and cup — straight into your tank size, plus waist and length for every size.
I am between two sizes. Up or down?

Size down if you want firmer shaping and more of a shapewear feel. Size up if you want a relaxed, barely-there layer or you are sensitive to compression around the ribcage.

If you land exactly on a boundary number, the size & fit guide already resolves it upward for you — a 38 inch bust comes back as L, not M — so there is nothing to add on top of that. The tank is true to size, so choose between the two on the feel you want, not on any assumption that it runs small.

The size & fit guide lists the bust, waist and length range for every size, which usually settles it in about ten seconds.

Do you carry plus sizes, or is XL your ceiling?

The Sculpt Tank and Ribbed Sculpt Tank run all the way to 6XL. The Plus Size Sculpt Tank is drafted separately — wider straps, more generous shelf bra, extra length — rather than being a graded-up version of the small sizes.

Our other styles (camisoles, long sleeves, workout tanks) currently run XS to 3XL.

I have a long torso. Will it be long enough to tuck?

Yes. The Sculpt Tank is cut with extended length specifically for longer torsos — the coverage runs to the hip so it stays tucked instead of riding up and untucking itself by mid-morning.

If you are 5 foot 9 or taller, still order your true size — sizing up gets you a looser tank, not a meaningfully longer one. The larger sizes gain only a quarter to a half inch each, and 4XL, 5XL and 6XL are all the same 23½" length. Body length runs 20¾" at XS to 23½" at the top of the range, listed size by size in the size & fit guide.

I am a DD or larger. Will this hold me?

Most fuller-busted customers do well in it, but be clear-eyed about what it is: a built-in shelf bra offering light-to-medium support. It smooths, lifts and holds for everyday wear. It is not an engineered DD sports bra, and we would rather tell you that now than have you disappointed later.

What helps at a larger cup: the double-layer front, wide straps that spread weight instead of cutting in, and the fact that no underwire is pressing into your ribs. What does not: high-impact running.

Fuller busts should size by the bust measurement, not by your usual top size — those two numbers are often two sizes apart. The size & fit guide converts your bra size directly, cups A through M.
My size is changing right now. Should I wait to order?

No. This is one of the few tops that genuinely follows a changing body — the four-way stretch and the elastic shelf bra keep supporting through a size of change in either direction, because nothing is fastened to a fixed band or a fixed cup.

Order for the body you have today. If you move past the fit within 30 days, we will get you the right size.

Will it work after a mastectomy, or with a prosthesis?

Many customers wear it post-surgery and post-reconstruction, and the reasons are the ones you would expect: no underwire, no back clasp, no seams pressing on scar tissue, and it pulls on over the head rather than needing to be reached behind.

Being straight with you: these are not surgical garments and they do not have sewn-in prosthesis pockets. Styles with removable pads let you take a pad out on one side to balance a prosthesis, which several customers do. If you are freshly post-op, check with your surgeon on compression first.

Support & Comfort

Is the built-in bra actually supportive, or just a thin shelf?

It is a real internal structure, not a token liner. The support comes from three things working together: a double-layer front panel, an integrated shelf bra with shaped padding, and compression fabric that holds from the ribcage rather than hanging everything from your shoulders.

Support level by style:

  • Light to medium — Sculpt Tank, Ribbed Sculpt, camisoles, long sleeves. Everyday wear, work, travel, errands.
  • Medium, with an inner elastic band — the workout tanks and crop tanks. Yoga, pilates, strength work, walking.

97% of customers wear one of these instead of a regular bra at least five days a week.

Will the padding shift, bunch or fall out in the wash?

No. The pads use a partially sewn-in construction — anchored in place, not floating loose in a pocket like the removable inserts that come out crumpled in the dryer.

We tested it through 20-plus wash cycles with zero movement, and 96% of customers report the padding never shifted, even after dozens of washes.

Can I take the pads out?

It depends on the style, and it is worth checking before you order:

  • Removable pads: High Neck Workout Tank, Racerback Crop Tank, Long-Sleeve Sculpt, Braless Camisole (size-specific pads included).
  • Fixed or partially sewn-in: Sculpt Tank, Ribbed Sculpt Tank, Plus Size Sculpt Tank, French-Inspired Camisole.

Fixed padding is the trade-off for padding that never shifts. If you want the option to remove it, pick from the first list.

Can I wear this instead of a bra, or is it only for layering?

Both, and most people end up doing both. The built-in bra is supportive enough to wear on its own, and the double-layer front means nobody can tell you are not wearing a bra underneath.

It also layers cleanly under a blazer, cardigan or open shirt without the bulk of a bra plus a tank plus a top.

Will the straps dig into my shoulders?

They should not, because the straps are not doing the work. The compression band under the bust carries the weight, so the straps only stabilize.

The Plus Size Sculpt and the workout tanks use deliberately wide straps to spread pressure. The Braless Camisole and Tummy Control Camisole use adjustable straps if you want to fine-tune the lift.

Is there underwire, or anything to fasten in back?

Neither. No underwire, no hooks, no clasp, no adjusting anything behind your back. It pulls on over your head like a tank top, which is the entire point.

That also means nothing to poke through the fabric after six months, and no metal in the wash.

Will it create back bulge the way a bra band does?

The opposite — that is what the seamless side design is for. The built-in support stops at your sides rather than cinching across your back, so there is no band cutting a line where a bra band would sit.

The compression is spread over a much wider area than a one-inch elastic strip, which is why it smooths instead of segmenting.

Fabric & Care

What is it actually made of?

The Sculpt Tank is a 66% polyamide / 34% elastane seamless knit — a milk-silk-style blend that is paper-thin, four-way stretch, moisture-wicking and does not go baggy.

Other styles vary by what they are for:

  • Ribbed Sculpt Tank — 97% polyester, 3% elastane. Wrinkle-resistant rib knit.
  • Braless Camisole — 47.5% modal, 47.5% cotton, 5% spandex. The softest of the range.
  • French-Inspired Camisole — 80% cotton, 16% polyester, 4% elastane.
  • Workout tanks — nylon and spandex seamless knit for moisture-wicking and low friction.

Every material breakdown is listed on its own product page.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. That is the whole instruction — no hand-washing, no mesh bag, no laying flat overnight. It goes in with your regular laundry.

Two things that extend its life: skip the fabric softener (it coats elastane and kills stretch recovery over time), and avoid high heat, which is what breaks down stretch fibers in any garment.

Will it stretch out or pill after a few months?

The seamless knit is built for recovery — it returns to shape rather than gradually growing a size, which is the usual failure mode of stretchy tanks. The ribbed styles are additionally wrinkle-resistant and hold their shape without deformation.

Pilling is mostly a friction issue. Washing cold and drying low is the single biggest thing you can do to prevent it.

Is it see-through under white or light colors?

No. The front is double-layered and fully opaque, and because the back is seamless with no straps crossing it, there are no lines or bulges telegraphing through a light blouse.

If you are wearing it as the visible top layer in white, the Nude or Off White colorways sit closest to skin tone and disappear most completely.

Does two layers of fabric make it hot?

Less hot than what it replaces, which is the honest comparison — you are wearing one breathable layer instead of a bra plus a top. The knits are moisture-absorbing and breathable, and the workout styles are actively moisture-wicking.

For the warmest weather, the Sculpt Tank and the cotton-modal Braless Camisole are the lightest options. The Sheer Mesh V-Neck is fleece-lined and meant for the opposite season.

Wearing It

Can I work out in it?

Pick the right style and yes. The High Neck Workout Tank, Racerback Crop Tank and Racerback Workout Tank are built for it — medium support, removable padded cups, an inner elastic band to stop shifting, and seamless construction that reduces chafing.

They are made for yoga, pilates, strength training, walking and cycling. For high-impact running, wear a dedicated high-impact sports bra.

Can I sleep in it?

Plenty of people do. With no wire and no clasp there is nothing to press into you while you are lying down, and the compression is gentle enough for overnight wear.

If sleeping in it is the main plan, the Pajama Set with Built-In Bra is cut looser for exactly that.

Does it work as shapewear, or just as a top?

Both. The Sculpt Tank smooths the midsection and conceals the side and underarm area while giving the bust a lifted line — that is compression shapewear behavior in a garment you can wear as your actual top.

If smoothing the stomach is your primary goal, the Tummy Control Camisole uses a firmer nylon-spandex compression panel through the midsection.

Will it show lines under a fitted dress?

This is where it beats a bra outright. There is no band, no hook row and no strap crossing your back, so the usual three sources of visible lines are simply not there. The support tapers off at the sides instead of ending in an edge.

Under a fitted knit dress, it reads as smooth from shoulder to hip.

What colors and styles do you make?

The Sculpt Tank comes in Black, Nude, Gray, Coffee, Olive, Rosewood and Wine Red. The Ribbed Sculpt runs a wider palette including Pink, Misty Blue, Khaki, Army Green and Red.

Beyond tanks there are camisoles, short and long-sleeve sculpt tops, a mesh V-neck, a brami top, a pajama set and the PostureLift Wireless Shape Bra — all with built-in support. Full range on the shop page.

Shipping & Delivery

How much is shipping?

Free Express Shipping on every order. No minimum spend, no threshold to hit, no shipping line added at checkout.

How long will it take to arrive?

Full details are in our shipping policy. Allow 1–2 business days for us to process and pack your order, then an estimated 7–12 business days in transit.

Ordering for a specific date? Give it three weeks of runway. Peak season and customs can add days that are outside our hands.

In a hurry? Add Priority Processing ($4.99) at checkout to move your order to the front of the packing queue.
Do you ship outside the United States?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Set your country in the region selector and prices will display in your local currency at checkout.

Any import duties or local taxes are set by your country and are the recipient's responsibility — they are not included in the price you pay us.

Where is my tracking number?

Tracking is emailed the moment your parcel leaves us, which is typically 1–2 business days after you order. It goes to the email address used at checkout.

Track it at 57track.com/Track/Detail — paste in your number and it follows the parcel across every carrier that handles it.

If it is not in your inbox, check spam and promotions first — that is where it is roughly nine times out of ten. Still nothing? Email hello@getsummet.com with your order number and we will resend it.

My tracking has not moved in days. What now?

A few quiet days mid-transit is normal, especially around a customs handoff, where scans can pause for up to a week before resuming. Check the full scan history at 57track.com/Track/Detail before assuming the worst.

If there has been no movement for 10 business days, email us your order number. We will open a trace with the carrier and, if the parcel is genuinely lost, replace it — you do not have to fight the carrier yourself.

Why did my order arrive in two parcels?

Multi-item orders sometimes ship from different facilities so nothing waits on the slowest item. You will get separate tracking for each parcel, and you are never charged twice for shipping.

If one parcel lands and the other has not shown up within a few days, message us and we will chase it.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

It is called the 30-Day Take-It-Off Test. Wear it for thirty days. If you still find yourself racing to take it off at the end of the day, send it back and we refund every penny.

To be eligible, the item needs to be in the condition you received it — unworn, unused, tags on, original packaging — along with your receipt or proof of purchase.

Start it from the contact page or email hello@getsummet.com. Once approved we send you a return shipping label plus instructions on where to send it. Full terms on the guarantee page and in our refund policy.

Please request the return before shipping anything back. Parcels sent to us without an approved return cannot be accepted.
How do I exchange for a different size?

You do not buy it twice and you do not wait. Email us the size you want and we ship the correct one free — and you keep the first one until the replacement arrives, so you are never left without it while a parcel is in transit.

Send the original back with the prepaid label once your new size lands. Free size exchange is part of the 30-Day Take-It-Off Test, not a separate paid service.

Not sure which size to swap to? Send us your bust measurement, or check the size & fit guide first.
Is anything not returnable?

Sale items and gift cards are final sale. Everything else in the range is covered by the 30-day window.

Anything worn, washed or missing its tags cannot be resold, so it falls outside the policy — try it on over clean skin before you commit.

My item arrived damaged or it is the wrong one.

Check your order as soon as it arrives and email hello@getsummet.com straight away with your order number and a photo of the issue.

Defective, damaged or incorrect items get evaluated and made right — and you are not paying return postage on our mistake.

How long until my refund lands?

We notify you once your return arrives and has been inspected. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank or card issuer then needs its own processing time to post it. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, contact us and we will trace it.

I am in the EU. Do I get a cooling-off period?

Yes, and it is set out in our refund policy. For merchandise shipped into the European Union you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without giving a justification.

Same conditions apply: unworn, unused, tags on, original packaging, with proof of purchase. Our 30-day promise runs alongside this, so in practice you have the longer of the two.

Orders, Payment & Contact

Can I change or cancel my order?

If it has not been packed yet, yes. Email hello@getsummet.com with your order number and what needs changing, and do it quickly — orders leave within 1–2 business days and cannot be altered once packed.

Wrong address? That is the most urgent one. Tell us immediately; after dispatch it is up to the carrier.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. The full set of available options is shown at checkout for your region.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Checkout runs on Shopify's PCI-compliant, encrypted payment infrastructure. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored on our servers or visible to our team.

My discount code will not apply.

Usually one of three things: the code has expired, it does not stack with an active site-wide promotion, or it is restricted to specific products. Only one code can be applied per order.

If the code should be valid and is not working, email it to us with your cart contents before checking out and we will sort it.

How do I reach a human?

Use the contact page or email hello@getsummet.com. Include your order number if you have one — it cuts a round trip out of every conversation.

We reply to every message, in order, Monday through Friday.

Do you do bulk, wholesale or press?

Email hello@getsummet.com with "Wholesale" or "Press" in the subject line and details of what you have in mind, and the right person will pick it up.

Still not sure?

Ask us before you order rather than guessing. Sizing questions in particular take about a minute to settle and save you a return.
